PUPIL PREMIUM
PUPIL PREMIUM
The Southfield Trust receives additional funding through the Pupil Premium Grant to support pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.
We use this funding to help ensure that all pupils can access the full range of opportunities available to them and we will consider the challenges faced by vulnerable pupils, such as those with a social worker or young carer.
Funding may be available for pupils who:
Are eligible for Free School Meals (FSM)
Have been eligible for Free School Meals in the past six years
Are looked after by a local authority
Have previously been looked after by a local authority
Have a parent serving in the armed forces
Pupil Premium funding may be used to support:
Additional teaching and intervention
Communication, sensory and wellbeing support
Enrichment activities and educational visits
Attendance and engagement initiatives
Resources that help pupils access learning and develop independence
Even if your child already receives free school meals, it is still important to register if you are eligible.
Registering can generate additional funding for the school, allowing us to provide further support for pupils and families.
Details of how Pupil Premium funding is allocated and the impact it has on pupil outcomes can be found in our annual Pupil Premium Strategies.
