Welcome - South Downs School
COVID – 19
Thank you to all of our parents and carers for your continued support during this unprecedented time. We hope that you and your families are well.
We will be in weekly contact with you via e-mail. If you have any queries, please email or phone your child’s school office (numbers are at the bottom of this page) and we will respond as soon as possible. Both sites are now open Monday to Thursday.
South Downs is a special school for pupils with significant, complex needs. It is a pleasure and a privilege to be able to lead this exceptional school alongside our outstanding staff team.
We value our partnerships with parents and carers, and work in collaboration with them to deliver motivating learning experiences and ensure outstanding long term outcomes for each unique pupil. We offer a wealth of exciting opportunities for our pupils so that they can learn, have fun and make contributions to a wider community.
At South Downs, our skills based, developmental curriculum has a particular emphasis on developing independence, wellbeing and learning outside of the classroom.
We promote many forms of inclusion and we are proud to be a UNICEF Silver Award Rights Respecting School in light of our work in promoting children’s rights. We hold a gold a quality mark for Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) education.
Please contact the school offices (details below) if you would like to request a visit or if you would like paper copies of any school or Trust documents or policies.
