Welcome to The Lindfield School
The Lindfield is a secondary special school for students aged 11-16 years.
All students at The Lindfield have an Educational and Health Care plan. The students have a range of additional needs and these include:
- Moderate learning difficulties
- Speech, Language and Communication difficulties
The students may also have associated needs which may include emotional/social needs and communication and interaction needs, autistic spectrum disorder and/or speech and language difficulties. In addition, students may have sensory or physical difficulties.
The Lindfield School has a committed staff team who not only provide specialist subject teaching, leading to a wide range of qualifications, but are also skilled in supporting the students with their personal, communication and social skills.
The Lindfield School strives to provide a positive, safe and caring community where students are happy, confident and successful. We recognise and respect each student as an individual, celebrate their successes, raise their self-esteem and prepare them for their future by building on their strengths. We have high aspirations for our students and believe that the outstanding teaching and learning at Lindfield prepares them for the next stage their education.
We aim to develop our students' independence and empower them to become responsible young adults with the ambition to be lifelong achievers.
We welcome visits to our school as our pupils are always keen to show their work and explain what they are learning.
